BanfordAI Privacy Notice
This notice explains how BanfordAI handles information when you visit banfordai.com, use OmniSight, or request email updates. BanfordAI publishes research information and does not sell personal information.
Analytics
Some BanfordAI pages use one Google Analytics implementation, selected as either the Google tag or Google Tag Manager. It may process page paths, device and browser data, approximate geography, traffic source, and low-cardinality interaction events. Email addresses and other directly identifying form values must not be sent to analytics. Public U.S. research pages are intentionally excluded from these tags under the current site policy.
On instrumented pages, Google Consent Mode v2 defaults analytics and advertising storage to denied in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland before Google tags run. A consent choice must be supplied by the certified consent interface before optional storage is enabled. You may also block or clear cookies in your browser.
Advertising
Some Korean-language pages may use Google AdSense. Public U.S. research pages, this privacy page, and OmniSight hub, Today, Explore, and methodology pages do not load BanfordAI ad units. OmniSight can enable one manual unit only on a human-approved long-form story after a responsive slot and a Google-certified consent management platform have both been verified. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies subject to the consent state and their own policies.
Email update requests
If you submit an update form, the application currently stores the email address, an optional name, a source label, the submission timestamp, and truncated request IP and browser user-agent fields for basic abuse and incident review. No newsletter is sent until a confirmation and unsubscribe workflow is enabled. To delete a request, email banfordai.info@gmail.com from the same address.
OmniSight saved topics and RSS
OmniSight can save a topic list in your browser's local storage. The list is not sent to BanfordAI, attached to an account, or used to deliver personalized messages. You can remove it with the clear control on OmniSight or by clearing site data in your browser. OmniSight topic RSS feeds are public URLs and require no account, email address, or subscription record at BanfordAI.
Server logs, security, and retention
Hosting and network providers may keep security and access logs containing an IP address, timestamp, requested URL, response status, and user-agent. Retention for provider logs is controlled by the relevant provider. BanfordAI keeps operational data only as long as it is needed for security, reliability, legal obligations, or the purpose described above. Analytics retention is controlled in the connected Google Analytics property.
Your choices
- Use the site without submitting an email address.
- Decline optional analytics or advertising storage when a consent message is shown.
- Block or delete cookies through browser settings.
- Clear locally saved OmniSight topics without contacting BanfordAI.
- Request access, correction, or deletion by contacting the address below.
Children and changes
BanfordAI is not directed to children under 16 and does not knowingly request their personal information. Material changes to this notice will update the date at the top.
